Tiffany Limos on Hiatus.

Dear Fans and Friends,

I have to go on a much needed hiatus.
I have alot of work ahead of me and I am elated!
So you won't be hearing from me for a while.
I have to take care of business.
When I return, it will be well worth it for all.

I watched Ma Mere, The Grocer's son, The Piano Teacher, The Voyage, and Born into Brothels today. Yes, I watch movies back to back and I can watch a record breaking ten movies back to back. I just love it. (the only person who can battle me by watching more films is QT!) I also checked out a few great Marlon and Tarita Brando links. Superb!

I am a huge fan of the actor Nicolas Cazale. I am also a great fan of the actress Isabelle Huppert. That's why I decided to watch these films today. I had also been meaning to watch Born into Brothels and I cried watching it. It reminded me of the kids in the Philippines, Thailand, and Algeria. Its a must SEE! If you have netflix you can watch it on your computer. I highly recommend it. 4 STARS.

I will leave you with something I found on the internet. While I'm focusing, you should be focusing too.

Ciao,
TL

How to Focus on FAITH.

Focusing on faith can be an extremely difficult thing to do. In today’s world people are obsessed with amassing as many material possessions as they can while they are alive, then they do not have much time for spiritual activities such as focusing on one’s faith.

One way of focusing on faith would be to believe in the teachings of your faith. Thus, it will be important to read on the teachings of your particular faith. If you are a Christian, it would be urgent that you would be familiar with the Holy Bible. If you are a Muslim, then reading the Koran is what should occupy a fair part of your spare time. For Buddhists, reading the Tripitaka or any other important article will help you keep in mind the principles on which one’s faith was founded. Of course reading here does not merely mean plain reading of the text, but involves concentration and understanding. Ultimately, it will involve applying what the teachings require you to do.

Another way to focus on faith would be to attend church or faith services as often as possible. Sometimes you can simply attend an interfaith or a prayer meeting during a lunch break at the office or during a quiet afternoon in the home of a friend. Going to such prayer meetings not only strengthens bonds among the attendees, but also strengthens your faith in their beliefs. Attending church or other faith services also helps you participate in a communal activity for groups of people with the same faith. If a certain group of people have the same objectives with respect to their faith community, then it will be these people’s faith that can drive them to achieve all their goals.

You could also set aside time for meditation and reflection. Some quiet time without any distractions allows you to concentrate on what you are thinking. Also, the removal of any distractions also lets you think about the greater issues in your life – of your role in the community and ultimately, in this world. You are also able to think about your own mission in life, and to model it after someone who he believes in.

Lastly, it is important to act out your faith. This is not to say that you ought to act ala Joan of Arc and begin to battle with those who do not believe in God, but rather to apply the teachings of your faith in the little things that you do in your everyday lives. If God taught you to love one another, perhaps then it is about time that you avoid passing judgment on people immediately. If God taught you to be generous, then you should give more to people in need. If you do not have the material resources, then volunteering your time in a shelter or in a government day care center is certainly equal to ‘acting out the part.’ It will never be difficult to focus on faith as long as your mind is clear of any distractions and as long as you are willing to be focused on it.

JC and I than ate Lasagne, Bread, Steak, Rice, and TACOS while watching Million Dollar Baby. Interesting.

I don't know if some of you remember my dog Snappy! He turns 14 years old this month. My friends from high school can't believe he is still around! Even my family can't believe he is still around. He is my baby and good luck charm. I love him more than anything. Larry Clark did an installation of him in 2005 for his pUNK Picasso art show. I use Snappy in my writings and in other projects as well. Bruce Weber even featured Snappy in Italian Vogue! HA HA HA! Larry Clark even used Snappy for a Christmas card once! I think the year was 2003 or 2004? I can't remember. He is in Larry's books and he is a well known little celeb in my circle. Oh yeah! We did a Cheapdate magazine spread with him along side Paris and Nicky Hilton! That was a hoot. (Cheapdate magazine - founded by Kira Jolliffe and Bay Garnett. Guest editors included Liv Tyler, Kate Moss, Marlon Richards, Rachel Weisz, Chloe Sevigny, Jerry Hall, and... I was a contributor.

Snappy got a new SHORT hair cut! As some of you might know, he has had blue mohawks, long moppy looks, and a totally skinned look. Here are some pics of his new short cut with his orange Texas Longhorns sweater and his light blue scarf! Awe. ;) His nose has gotten lighter in color with age and his eyes have cataracts now. His body aches more too but we take really great care of him.

I just watched three films in a row AFTER watching Grand Ecole again. Rebel Without a Cause, Streetcar Named Desire, and Porcile (because I am such a Pasolini fan). I am a huge Nicholas Ray fan... and Marlon Brando fan.

I have been hearing alot of things on the ground and roaming the internet while on hiatus. Mmmm. What I don't understand is people who are actresses with big paychecks who produce who really think that they are producers? Do they really think that they can actually produce? Come on honey, that is just your money you are adding from your paycheck, you aren't really producing. A producer is someone more than a paycheck! Of course there are different kinds of producers but the producer that a few of these chicks are trying to claim being aren't the kind of producers they claim to be. Peter Piper Pecked a Peck of Pickled Peppers, okay! AND some actress out there that I know!!! This really irritates me to the hilt. They say they are "writers" or that they are "collaborating" ha ha ha PUH-LEASE! Hiring someone to write a damn book or screenplay for you while you sit there and twiddle your thumbs and blab out a few ideas while the "hired" writer is licking your ass and telling you those ideas are GREAT DAH-LING... when he actually hates them and spins them into a respectable story while you take all of the credit. LAME! I don't know how you girls can sleep at night. But writing is something that takes time to develop, its a craft just like any other craft. You can't be a writer OVERNIGHT! That's just Bullocks. You guys have been listening to that damn 48 LAWS of POWER for too long! That is so 50 years ago. Just be yourself, be original as you can be... at the least be authentic... and don't take credit for something you didn't do. MERDE!
All you out there, you know who I am talking about. Its annoying when people take credit for more than they should.

I have done alot of things in my career and half the time I don't take credit because I don't care. It should be more about THE WORK instead of a TITLE! Who fucking cares anyways! It doesn't matter. Only the people in your circle, mine at least, should know what you are capable of. The people in my circle know of the things I have done and they aren't listed on imdb.com or wikipedia. It seems like that is all people care about and then they make it out to be like they have done more, they feel more entitled. Its completely ridiculous.

Oh and when rock stars think they are designers. I know they are trying but someone please smell the roses. Do you seriously think that your fame and money is going to make you a legitimate designer? That makes me laugh. Than I have been keeping my eye on the news lately and it seems that Raf Simons has resurfaced out of no-where. I have known Raf since 1999 via Alix Browne during the Visionaire days. Raf Simons is a fan of Larry Clark and actually Larry Clark inspired Raf Simons to be a designer, thank you very much. So I don't get what all the hoopla is about? I mean, all these people who think that because they have money now, they can go to shows and meet these designers ... that they are now fashionably stable!
Literally. Just because you have money now doesn't mean anything. Fashion is about your individual style. Its not about buying vintage Stephen Sprouse right at this moment because Louis Vuitton dedicated a collection to him. Sometimes I don't get people at all. Sometimes I just sit and laugh at how ignorant they are. Yes, you bought something that is a Sprouse item for a few thousand but that doesn't mean that you are the end all be all of fashion, now does it? I was just having this conversation with my friend Karl Cyprien and it was apparent that a new crop of people are lost.

Speaking of Raf Simons, ever since he went to design for Jil Sander I have not been able to get ahold of him. So Raf if you are reading this, email me!

Me and my homegirl A$A in November of 2008. (Venice, CA) A$A is a perfect example of an artist.

By the way, That Fish Sticks episode of South Park was the best episode ever! I never laughed so hard in my life. I sent that link out to everyone I knew. I know Matt Stone and Trey Parker via writer/homie Arthur Bradford. I love those guys because they are literally funny in real life as well! And they are not even trying... to say the least. I knew they would do something on Kanye West one day but man, they really hit the nail on the head. It was GENIUS! Nuff'said.

What makes me laugh even harder is that Jimi Hendrix, Kubrick, and many others do not need to prove anything to anyone or win awards to show people that they are worthy. They have changed the world and penetrated a generation and generations after that. No need for ego. I mean, Larry Clark has inspired legions of people of the last 40 years plus! Fashion, film, photography, art, music but you will never see him bitch fight in the press (unless its some asshole journalist trying to say Larry is starting a fight in the press when its actually not true) and you will never hear Larry be desperate for an award for validation of his talents. You will never hear Larry say that he is a GENIUS when he truly is one.

*** If you didn't see it, than here is the link.

Kanye West episode of South Park

PS. I decided that I would add new photos each time I blog. My friend Karl thinks I should video blog but for right now that is just too much. A new photo each time is alot but might freshen this little blog up somewhat.

OH! and one more thing I don't get is spoiled bratty online internet stars? I heard about some and mainly met some... and they really think they are something! And the encouragement they get from the older set doesn't make it any better. The older set is just using them to advance somehow and its quite sad how the young thinks they are actually entitled to be hell raising bitches. (Where are their damn parents?!) You know who you are.

Today's BLAST from the PAST... Tahiti 2005 ! Noa Noa !

Of course you know the famous photo where I had been crying for hours:

There were some paintings in Tahiti made from this picture (I don't know why) but I will post it as soon as I find it on my other computer.

In the same magazine and separate article. Tarita Brando.
Photobucket

I wanted to put this up because I have had Tarita on my mind and because Tahiti/Paris are like my second homes now in 2009. Its funny to read in this article I say that I am living between Los Angeles and Mexico City! Wow, so much has changed since then. That is not the case now at all.
I have had Tahiti and Paris on my mind everyday as well.
So I found it appropriate to blast this from the past.
Every month or so I do that, I will just reflect from my past.
(in one way or another)
Great things always happen for me in France, I don't know why?
French was the second language I learned besides English.
I even learned it before I learned Tagalog, the Philippines national language.
But to be honest I know Spanish alot better than I do Tagalog. Tagalog is spoken to me everyday and its on tv but I don't speak it as well as I do Spanish.
I guess it was because I WAS living in Mexico City and Oaxaca City in 2005!
The funny thing is that I look the same which I used to dislike but I am so grateful that I haven't aged and gotten any wrinkles like the other people I know.
But my body has filled out. Moi derrière et moi bustier ajustements plus fortement!
So I have this baby face with a woman's body. I do not have the body I had when I was 25.

I don't speak French unless I have to. But all of that will change because I am well loved in France and they have been my biggest supporters since 1999. I owe the French alot and I will update you on my progress with my work there.

I can't tell you how much I love France!
And since Tahiti is one of its colonies, I am an honorary French woman...
Tahiti aka French Polynesia!

* Look up Tahiti if you are interested. There is alot of culture there. Here is a link.

Spike Lee reveals how he got ahead...

April 5, 2009

BY AMY MCCONNELL SCHAARSMITH | PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE/SHNS
Film director Spike Lee, one of the few African-American filmmakers to achieve widespread success, prescribed a formula recently to college students who want to follow his example: Find a trade they love, hone their skills and work hard even when they don’t feel like it.

“Do not believe this thing called overnight success — there is no such thing,” he told a throng inside the David Lawrence Hall on the University of Pittsburgh campus last week. “Anyone who’s a success had to bust their (rear) for it. That means when you’re tired, when you’re grumpy, when you’re sick, you have to do more.”

» Click to enlarge image Spike Lee

(AP)

Lee, whose films include “Do the Right Thing,” “Jungle Fever” and “Malcolm X,” was invited to speak by the university’s Black Action Society.

A Brooklyn native who had just finished his sophomore year at Morehouse College in the summer of 1977, Lee shot his first raw footage during the blackouts, disco parties and widespread fear created by the Son of Sam murders. The footage ultimately became ’Last Hustle in Brooklyn’ and was the beginning of Lee’s passion for filmmaking — a passion he found after two years of drifting through college with mediocre grades, he said.

Now, Lee said, he thanks God every day for letting him do work he loves. Partying at college is fine, Lee said, but students also need to find their passion and figure out how to make a living at it — even if that career doesn’t match other people’s expectations of them.

“The majority of people on this earth go to their graves after slaving their whole lives at a job they hate,” he said.

eGlamour (inspiring story)

Two nights ago I was fortunate to hang out with my friend Daniel aka eGlamour.

He just happened to be in the same city!

I have known him for three years and he has been progressing with his craft. You can check out his myspace page at eGlamour

I had not seen him in those three years. I came across his photos when he began and I always thought they were special.

What I admire about Daniel is that he is humble and that he has worked very hard for everything that he has. His story is an empowering one and it inspired me. (maybe you guys will read it and feel inspired too) He could have just given up in so many ways but he hung in there.

Three years ago he came to Dallas from Los Angeles to make a better life for himself and escape his family's drama. Things didn't happen the way he thought they would and Daniel ended up living in his car. Alot of lonely nights in his car with no one to talk to except for God. Determined to make ends meet he worked 20 hours a day at Denny's. He finally got on his feet but it wasn't easy. He always had faith. Just when things seemed dim and dire he kept pulling on through. He didn't know how it was going to happen for him, he just kept at it. He moved back to Los Angeles and as his luck would have it, stumbled upon meeting the right people at the right time. Of course this didn't happen overnight. He is now the personal photographer for the artist Ray J and has had progressive success with his photography.

I was delighted to know that he has a great head on his shoulders still and has remained focused.

Everyone has a different journey in life. I cannot wait to see how his unfolds. I know he is meant for great things.

He is a great example of the virtue of patience.
(I posted a blog about PATIENCE a few days ago.)

DANIEL I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!

Ps. If you are in the local area, you should get your photo taken by him. He is a swell guy!
Pss. I don't have a picture to post of us! I forgot to bring my camera and I guess he didn't use his. We just ended up hanging out and talking till the wee hours.

Blackbox (exposed) avec Scott Barnhill

I posted a few days ago about Blackbox (exposed)'s show in Paris. Their website is back up. Check it out!

How to focus your mind on the project

When working on a major project, do you ever find yourself procrastinating? Of course you do! We all do! Whether you have attention deficit disorder or you are a polychrone or you simply suffer from information overload, it can be difficult to keep your mind focused on one project.

What follows is a guide to help you gain control of your focus so that you can make productive progress on your project.

How to Focus

1. Eliminate Distractions. Even one distraction can bring your house of cards down, so be complete about this. This means:

* Clear your desk. If you need to, clear it all off into a pile on the floor to deal with after you are done.
* No internet or computer programs open that are unnecessary for your project.
* No TV or Radio unless it is instrumental or unless you are doing art work and you work best with music.
* No noise. If you have other people nearby that make noise on a regular basis, consider getting a pair of noise canceling headphones.
* No phone. That's what voice mail and caller id are for. Don't answer it. If you think it might be important you can listen to the voicemail and decide when will be the best time to call back. Imagine that you are in a meeting and can't be interrupted.
* No email or feed reader.
* Just you and your project.

2. Visualize
Take 5-10 minutes to visualize your project and what you need to do overall and today.

3. Planning
Write out the plan for your project whether it is to clean the house, design a website, complete a writing assignment, create art, complete a day of errands, studying for an exam, or whatever. Write out the major steps from start to finish in a basic outline format.

4. Today Plan
Write out the action steps you will take today and the approximate time you will be working on each step. Be as granular in your outline as need to keep yourself on task, but not any more than is necessary.

5. Breaks & Rewards
Build in breaks into your Today Plan. Write in the times and use a timer to stay on track. Here is a free online timer. Plan a reward for the end of the day.

6. Take Action
Work your plan. Use your Today Plan as your guide. Keep moving forward. When you find yourself getting distracted go back to your Today Plan. Be strict with yourself about keeping distractions from creeping into your project time.

7. Creative Projects
If your project requires creativity, staying focused can be extra challenging. Here are some tips specifically for this:

* Writing: Write your outline and then just start writing. Don't be afraid of a bad first draft. Once you have that then you can edit into a masterpiece. The first draft is most difficult. The editing is much easier. If you get totally stuck then you probably need either more time, more information, or a break. Figure out which. You may also need to re-examine the assignment. Walking and/or meditation breaks (with closed eyes) are very helpful.

* Arts: Get your "rough draft" in place: sketching, outlines, basic form, etc. For certain types of art such as logo design, it is good to do many iterations to get the right one. Make sure you understand the assignment well. Look at it from different angles to help get your creativity flowing.

* General: Remember to slow down. Nothing stifles creativity more than trying to rush it. And remember to have fun. Even if it is not a "fun" project, find ways to make it fun and things will move along easier for you.

8. Savor a Reward
When the day is over and you've done your best, look back and recognize your accomplishments. Plan for tomorrow and then let it go for the rest of the day. Enjoy the reward you promised to yourself even if it is as small as a nice cup of tea while you relax quietly for 15 minutes before dinner.

How to Harness Patience...

Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness, and a rational outlook, which eventually leads to success.
Brian Adams

Patience is the greatest of all virtues.
Cato the Elder (234 BC - 149 BC)

A handful of patience is worth more than a bushel of brains.
Dutch Proverb

Our patience will achieve more than our force.
Edmund Burke (1729 - 1797)

It is very strange that the years teach us patience - that the shorter our time, the greater our capacity for waiting.
Elizabeth Taylor (1932 - ), "A Wreath of Roses"

There art two cardinal sins from which all others spring: Impatience and Laziness.
Franz Kafka (1883 - 1924)

Patience has its limits. Take it too far, and it's cowardice.
George Jackson (1941 - 1971)

We could never learn to be brave and patient, if there were only joy in the world.
Helen Keller (1880 - 1968)

The fates have given mankind a patient soul.
Homer (800 BC - 700 BC), The Iliad

If I have ever made any valuable discoveries, it has been owing more to patient attention, than to any other talent.
Isaac Newton (1642 - 1727)

Patience serves as a protection against wrongs as clothes do against cold. For if you put on more clothes as the cold increases, it will have no power to hurt you. So in like manner you must grow in patience when you meet with great wrongs, and they will then be powerless to vex your mind.
Leonardo da Vinci (1452 - 1519)

I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end.
Margaret Thatcher (1925 - ), in Observer April 4, 1989

There will be a time when loud-mouthed, incompetent people seem to be getting the best of you. When that happens, you only have to be patient and wait for them to self destruct. It never fails.
Richard Rybolt

Patience is the companion of wisdom.
Saint Augustine (354 AD - 430 AD)

Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them - every day begin the task anew.
Saint Francis de Sales (1567 - 1622)

You must first have a lot of patience to learn to have patience.
Stanislaw J. Lec (1909 - 1966), "Unkempt Thoughts"

Patience is the best remedy for every trouble.
Titus Maccius Plautus (254 BC - 184 BC), Rudens

Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the small ones; and when you have laboriously accomplished your daily task, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.
Victor Hugo (1802 - 1885)

How poor are they who have not patience! What wound did ever heal but by degrees.
William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616)

It has never been easy to be patient, but it's probably harder now than at any time in history. In a world in which messages can be sent across the world instantly, in which seemingly everything is available for immediate purchase with a few clicks of the mouse, it's hard not to always expect instant gratification. But patience remains a valuable tool in life. We don't always get instant gratification, and some of the best things in life require years of hard work and waiting. Fortunately, patience is a virtue that can be cultivated and nurtured.

Try to figure out why you're in such a hurry. We tend to lose our patience when we're multi-tasking or when we're on a tight schedule. If you're stretching yourself too thin, you should reconsider your to-do list before you attempt to change your natural reaction to an overwhelming situation. Try to spread out your tasks so that you're doing only one thing at a time. Delegate responsibilities to others if you can; this in itself may be a test of your patience, but you have to learn to share the load.

Pinpoint the triggers that often make you lose your patience. Impatience creeps in insidiously, and if you feel anxious, worried, or unhappy you may not even realize that the underlying cause of these feelings is impatience. To reduce the frequency of impatience, it helps to be aware of it. Which events, people, phrases or circumstances always seem to make you lose your cool? Sit down and make a list of all the things which cause you anxiety, tension, or frustration. At the core of most triggers is a reality that we have a hard time accepting. What are those realities for you?

Overcome bouts of impatience. In the long run, developing patience requires a change in your attitude about life, but you can immediately make progress by learning to relax whenever you feel impatient. Take a few deep breaths and just try to clear your mind. Concentrate on breathing and you'll be able to get your bearings.
Look for patterns. Being aware of your impatience also gives you a chance to learn from it and perhaps uncover a relationship or circumstance that is simply not healthy or constructive, and that you may have the power to change. Figure that out, and you can then think logically about the problem issue and decide whether or not your impatience is warranted or helpful. It usually isn't, but when it is you can then figure out ways to fix the root problem rather than simply feeling stressed about it.

Let go if you can't do anything about the impatience trigger. If there isn't anything that you can do to resolve whatever has triggered your impatience, just let it go. Easier said than done, yes, but it's possible, and it's the only healthy thing to do. Initially, you will probably find it difficult to let go if the matter is important to you--waiting to hear back after a job interview, for instance--but you should be able to alleviate impatience that's caused by issues of less consequence (i.e. waiting in line at the grocery store). If you make a concerted effort to be more patient in relatively inconsequential, short-term situations, you'll gradually develop the strength to remain patient in even the most trying and enduring situations.

Remind yourself that things take time. People who are impatient are people who insist on getting things done now and don't like to waste time. However, some things just can't be rushed. Think about your happiest memories. Chances are, they were instances when your patience paid off, like when you worked steadily towards a goal that wasn't immediately gratifying, or took a little extra time to spend leisurely with a loved one. Would you have those memories if you had been impatient? Probably not. Almost anything really good in life takes time and dedication, and if you're impatient, you're more likely to give up on relationships, goals, and other things that are important to you. Good things may not always come to those who wait, but most good things that do come don't come right away.

Expect the unexpected. Yes, you have plans, but things don't always work out as planned. Accept the twist and turns in life gracefully. Keep your expectations realistic. This applies not only to circumstances, but also the behavior of those around you. If you find yourself blowing up over your child or your spouse accidentally spilling a drink, you're not in touch with the fact that people aren't perfect. Even if the occasion is not an isolated incident but is instead caused by their repeated neglect and carelessness, losing your patience isn't going to make it any better. That's something to be addressed with discussion and self-control.
Give yourself a break. The meaning of this is twofold. First, take a few minutes to do absolutely nothing. Just sit quietly and think. Don't watch television; don't even read. Do nothing. It may be hard at first, and you may even feel pretty impatient after a minute or two, but by taking some time out you can essentially slow your world down, and that's important to develop the attitude necessary to develop patience. Second, stop holding yourself and the world around you to unreachable standards. Sure, we'd all be more patient if babies didn't cry, dishes didn't break, computers didn't crash, and people didn't make mistakes--but that's never going to happen. Expecting the world to run smoothly is like beating your head against the wall. Give yourself a break.

Remember what matters. Not focusing on what matters most in this life fuels impatience. Move the world toward peace by being kind, generous in forgiveness of others, being grateful for what is, and taking full advantage of what matters most. When other less important things fuel our impatience, taking time to remember any one of these items reduces our tendency to want something different right now.

Tips:

Boredom can make it very difficult to be patient. If you're waiting in the doctor's office and the only thing you can concentrate on is the ticking clock, good luck trying to be patient. If, however, you can read a book or do a crossword puzzle, time will fly by (or at least creep less slowly). If you've nothing to do while you're waiting, just try to appreciate the fact that you have nothing to do. In a fast-paced world, opportunities to do nothing are rare and should be cherished.
Once you are able to change your attitude so that you are a patient person, you will find that patience can help you endure any tribulation, no matter how long-lasting or difficult. More importantly, perhaps, patience can help you achieve your goals.
Many people find that spirituality helps develop patience. Nearly every religion places value on patience, and indeed, having a belief system and embracing your spirituality can help you let go of things you cannot change and can comfort you when you are waiting. If you're not religious, you may still benefit from prayer or meditation, even if you're just talking to yourself, because these activities take you out of the worldly hustle and bustle.

Being patient with others is a form of respect for them. Nobody is perfect, and if you want to be a good parent, boss, spouse, or friend, it's important to recognize this and to be patient with people. "Don't sweat the small stuff" is a good motto. You and everyone around you will be more relaxed and able to get along much better.
Developing patience is not easy, and you've got to be motivated to become more patient. You can do it, however, and you should. Patience can reduce your stress levels and improve your health and longevity, and patience can actually make you happier. Whenever you find yourself growing impatient, think about the positive effects of patience, and remember that impatience only makes things worse.
Instead of becoming annoyed by a distraction (such as a crying baby on a long flight), try just being a passive observer. If you make it daily practice to observe things and events without judging or forming an opinion, being able to acknowledge something without allowing it to annoy you will become easier with time.
People that are patient tend to have better lives.

Remember, for every minute you are angry you lose 60 seconds of happiness.
One way to release stress is to write about it. Studies have shown that people who write about their emotions tend to become more calm and learn to accept the emotions that they are experiencing. so, the next time you feel angry, just write about it and try to meditate over why you would be so angry.

A quote from James Clavell's Shogun: “Karma is the beginning of knowledge. Next is patience. Patience is very important. The strong are the patient ones. Patience means holding back your inclination to the seven emotions: Hate, adoration, joy, anxiety, anger, grief, fear. If you don’t give way to the seven, you’re patient, then you’ll soon understand all manner of things and be in harmony with Eternity.”

Warnings:

Patience should be no excuse for procrastination. While patience can help you be OK with doing nothing, it's important to understand that idleness breeds impatience and stress.

Be patient with others who display little patience; if they bother you too much, make an excuse to locate yourself somewhere else and take a break from their anxiety-inducing behavior.
