Women of Color
I can relate to Tyra and Jessica White. As a woman of color, you do not have room to mess up. You always have to be on point because the industry doesn't make enough room yet for many women of color to enter.
And Tyra is right, you need mentors that can help you navigate through this business.
Great advice.

An ‘Inglourious’ party with Quentin Tarantino and his stars
Only in Hollywood

LOS ANGELES—Eli Roth, who plays “The Bear Jew” in Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds,” was scheduled to attend and represent the film in the Cinemanila International Film Festival last October, but canceled when storm Ondoy hit the country.
“Tease the hell out of Eli,” a grinning Tarantino told us at the DVD release party of “Inglourious Basterds” last Tuesday evening at the Holmby Hills house of Lawrence Bender, who produced virtually all of the filmmaker’s movies, from “Reservoir Dogs” and “Pulp Fiction” to “Inglourious…” Eli was somewhere in Lawrence’s backyard, which was jammed with popular faces.
Quentin, a great raconteur who tells stories as good as he shows them on film, added, “I asked Eli, ‘Are you scared of a little rain?’” We know that the director braved “a little rain” in Manila in 2007, when flooded streets forced him and his companion, Cinemanila founding festival director, Tikoy Aguiluz, to take a pedicab to Malacañang. He made it in time to change from his wet sandals to formal shoes before he accepted a Cinemanila Lifetime Achievement Award from President Macapagal-Arroyo.
We asked Quentin if we’ll get to hear in the “Inglourious” DVD a line with the words, “Tagalog” and “Filipino,” that was in his original script (but wasn’t in the film’s theatrical version). The director, who was holding court among several guests, including our friends, Fil-Am Alan del Rosario (an “Oscars Designer Challenge” finalist) and actor Josh Winot, said no, because he did away with that line during the filming. Our Italian colleague got curious about the Tagalog mention and asked Quentin to elaborate. With a smile, he gamely obliged and proceeded to explain that the line would have been spoken by Nazi Colonel Landa (Christoph Waltz, in a performance that makes him the leading Best Supporting Actor contender in the current awards season) as he interrogated the captured Lieutenant Aldo (Brad Pitt), a Nazi hunter.
Enthusiasm
Quentin has already elaborated on that line in our previous interview, but we enjoyed listening to him again, because he told the story with the same enthusiasm. What we also find fascinating was that he remembered the exact dialogue and recited it, after setting up the scene in which Lieutenant Aldo, an American, gave himself away when he tried to pass himself off as an Italian:
“Colonel Landa: Italian? Really? What could you have possibly been thinking?
Quentin’s audience at the party especially enjoyed the story because of the way he relished narrating it. Told that moviegoers shouldn’t have to wait for a long time again before they get to see another Tarantino film, he said that he was going to do a new film soon, before he shoots “Kill Bill, Vol. 3.”
Aside from Quentin, easily among the most popular in the crowd of notables was Sacha Baron Cohen, who came with his fiancée, Isla Fisher. We all laughed when Sacha bumped into our male colleague, who was the lucky recipient of a lap dance by the actor, in character as the flamboyant Austrian fashion journalist, Bruno, during an interview. As himself at the bash, wearing a cap over his curly hair, Sacha engaged in amusing banter with our friend, who’ll probably remember and chuckle over the lap dance for the rest of his life.
Sacha revealed to us that when he filmed those naughty “Bruno” scenes with Fil-Am actor, Clifford Bañagale, who plays Diesel, his lover, there was a little “accident”: Sacha inadvertently inserted something somewhere, but Clifford, a trouper even though he was experiencing discomfort, finished the scenes.
The “Borat” actor warmed up to the idea of a film tapping one of his funny guises, Ali G, a British wannabe gangsta rapper. He said Olive, his daughter with Isla, the “Confessions of a Shopaholic” star who has a busy career of her own, is now 2. Isla said she has just finished filming “Rango,” her movie with Johnny Depp.
Spoof
Later, we saw Sacha and Judd Apatow chatting. The two have worked together in “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.” Judd will reportedly produce a Sherlock Holmes spoof, with Sacha as the famous detective and Will Ferrell as Watson.
We came face to face with Quentin’s Colonel Landa, Christoph himself, who is simply brilliant in “Inglourious.” Pointing at his beard, he said he grew the facial hair to play the villain in “The Green Hornet.” Christoph is fluent in “three and a half languages” (his words)—German, French, English and some Italian—which, coupled with his acting talent, made him perfect for Colonel Landa. Quentin was reportedly ready to shelve “Inglourious” because they couldn’t find the right actor to play the Nazi officer—until Christoph came to audition.
The tented yard was teeming with directors: Ridley Scott got us excited about his “Robin Hood,” with Russell Crowe in the title role and Cate Blanchett as Maid Marian. Ron Howard said he was taking a break during the holidays. Michael Bay disclosed that it’s all systems go for the filming of “Transformers 3” next year, with Shia LaBeouf and, yes, the controversial Megan Fox, who uttered some headline-grabbing quotes about the director when “Transformers 2” was released.
Speaking of directors, Josh Brolin happily reported to us that he made it possible for Woody Allen and the Coen brothers, Ethan and Joel, to finally meet, sit down and converse. The Coens, taciturn at interviews, were talkative in their meeting with Woody, according to Josh. “They’re talkative in real life,” Josh said of the siblings who directed him to acclaim in “No Country for Old Men.”
Josh finished filming Woody’s “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.” We shared a laugh recounting how Woody, who likes to shoot in overcast weather, had to resort to fake rain in, of all places, London. “That was surreal, wasn’t it?” Josh described the day we visited the set in Notting Hill as he shot a scene with Freida Pinto (“Slumdog Millionaire”). It was a beautiful sunny day, but Woody wanted a rainy look, so a crane dropped lots of fake raindrops outside a restaurant where Josh and Freida did a scene.
Josh’s wife, Diane Lane, reported that she’s filming “Secretariat.” Also at the party was Elliott Gould, the ex-husband of Josh’s stepmom, Barbra Streisand.
Another Diane—Kruger—said that she plays an illegal immigrant from Serbia in “Unknown White Male,” so she’s busy learning how to speak with a Serbian accent. Liam Neeson and January Jones (“Mad Men”) are her costars.
Another classic beauty, Jacqueline Bisset, reminisced about “The Deep,” her horror-thriller film set in Bermuda waters. She talked about how, after filming that movie, she stayed away from the water for a long time.
Heart and soul
Other guests included Chanel-clad Melanie Laurent, who is the heart and soul of “Inglourious”—she was excited about recently buying a house in France; Sharon Stone; the legendary music producer
and composer, Quincy Jones, conversing with Fil-Am actress and producer, Cassandra Gava; Richard Chamberlain; Vincent Price; Jonah Hill and Don Rickles.
When we finally bumped into Eli, who’s also a director, we ribbed him about backing out of the Cinemanila film fest. He said he hoped the Philippines is coping after Ondoy.

Tiffany Limos and Quentin Tarantino
After the Cannes film festival I went back to visit in Texas. (And I did go to the premiere of Inglorious Basterds there. If you read below at my other blog entries you'll find the CANNES blog.) Then I went to Los Angeles to visit with Vincent Gallo and Francis Ford Coppola for the premiere of Tetro. Vincent called me while he was on a road trip in Texas and I was about to meet up with him but I just couldn't, I had too much work to do. And we missed each other in Cannes so ... he suggested that I come to the premiere of Tetro. It was fun. I saw Andrew Durham and Sofia Coppola. I also saw Melodie McDaniel! I hadn't seen Francis Ford Coppola for a while so it was great to be reunited with everyone. Vincent was such a lady killer... it was hard to talk to him afterwards... Then the following day I had to meet with Spike Lee at the Mondrian... then I had to meet with Tarantino to talk about this project we are doing in the Philippines. But guess what? The car broke down and I was having such a hard time with the rental. I took a picture of the car so they'd believe me because I as also supposed to meet Vincent that weekend! So Spike I'd see another time but man I had to talk to Tarantino about this project. Hmmm, so my friend Aleta and her boyfriend Russell gave me a ride. HA!!!! Uh, but for some reason Q is not opening the gate! And I am like man this dude!!!! Then I was like whatever, lets go grab something to eat, then I get a phone call and I'm like yo!!!! and Quentin is like I'm sorry I was doing an interview with GQ and I told them to tell me when it was 9pm and they fucked up! They fucked up! And all I could think of was YEAH RIGHT in my mind! After all the drama I had been through earlier in the day. I figured it was a good excuse or lie. So we turned around and I met up with my buddy. But I was checking out the news for Inglorious Basterds and I found this GQ article and he WAS NOT LYING and I was laughing so hard reading it. I thought I would share.
Quentin Tarantino's GQ article and excuse for not meeting me on time! HA!!!

Questions to Fans...
I was having a conversation with a friend of mine and he told me that there aren't any good movies that have the main character portraying a writer?!
What do ya'll think?
Can you guys list movies that have had writers as main characters that were great movies? And do you know of some that aren't so good?
He says that its not visual enough and I say who the fuck cares?
I think if other films are bad starring writers, that doesn't mean you can't create a great story? I don't believe in limitations and that school of thought just doesn't mesh with me.
Can't wait to hear your responses. I'm also going to post this on myspace too.
Love,
Tiffany

Lakers!
A$A hosted a little get-together at her place to watch the Lakers Game. Mitchell Gutman came over to talk about work and also hang out to watch the game. It was pretty intense and worth while.
I am just busy writing.
I had a terrible day two days ago because the car A$A and I were riding in broke down. Strange because its a new car.
Other than that I have just been occupied with work.
Thank God.

Tiffany's Day in Venice...
Q and I went to a 50's restaurant for lunch. It was fantastic! I loved the posters on the walls. He told me about the old theater in Venice where he first became a fan of Godard.
Than he drove me to meet Asa aka "Leopard Lady"!
Asa and I later walked around Venice and enjoyed the day.
Later watched Asia Argento's Scarlet Diva. I hadn't seen it since it first came out and I really liked it alot this time around.
Now we are just watching Bully and working.

Los Angeles with Vincent Gallo... Coppola's TETRO & Spike Lee's admiration for the LAKERS
Hey all,
I landed in Los Angeles yesterday and hit the ground running. As soon as I got off of the plane I went to the Tetro Premiere in Los Angeles. Thanks to Vincent Gallo... and he's starring in the new film! It was good to see Andrew Durham, Melodie McDaniel, Sofia and Roman Coppola, and the usual suspects. A$A came with me. The movie was great and the little reception was alot of fun. Tetro premiered at Cannes in the Fort Night section. I was in Cannes during the second week so I missed the premiere there but this premiere wasn't sooooo bad. It was probably better since my "Los Angeles" friends were there and I hadn't seen them in years. GREAT TO SEE VINCENT too.
Tomorrow I am going to the editing room.
Saturday I will be on another writing sabbatical.
I am too busy.
Good.

I had blogged about Olivier Pere in past blogs but here are some clips. It was his last year at the Fort Night at Cannes as artistic director. Next year he will be the artistic director at Locarno. For all my fans, its worth it to check him out.

Tarantino Can CANNES
I was inside the Palace watching this from the screen. Words can't describe how insane this premiere was. I took some footage of it when QT entered the building with his cast but somehow I left my camera in Cannes. I'll never forget this premiere.

Tiffany Limos Cannes
Jesus Christ! I am in London right now for the day than I am headed back!
I just came from Cannes and I was staying at the Martinez Hotel because of my friend Gregory Bernard. It was an amazing experience!
I went to Pedro Almodovar's premiere with Paulo Branco.
Than the next day I went to Quentin Tarantino's premiere! Uh... I have been places with Quentin but this has to take the cake. Quentin Tarantino plus Brangelina equals utter mayhem. There were thousands of people lining the streets, top security, and every star you can imagine globally attending his screening. Quentin danced on the red carpet, he was hyped. I can't put into words what his premiere was like, it was just unbelieveable.
I enjoyed the beach and the parties.
I even went on a boat. But I am really not the partying type unless I am with my childhood or old school friends.
I did see Paul Sevigny and he was a sight for sore eyes! I missed that dude!
We laughed and hugged and just had a merry ole time at Andre Saraiva's 314 Le Baron club at Cannes.
Oh before the screenings I was walking around the Carlton Hotel and I ran into Quentin and Pedro having a chat. I was there to meet Quentin and we hadn't chatted in a while so it was soooo much fun!
The Filipinos were in town and they stormed Cannes with four films, I think one was a short film. Many congrats to them.
It was Olivier Pere's last year at the Fort Night so he was probably the main reason why I went to Cannes despite all the glitz and glamour surrounding me.
Oh, I walked into the Martinez Hotel yesterday and Zoe Saldana was standing there and she is an old friend of mine and she was so shocked to see me there. We didn't have time to talk about Star Trek!!! because she was being rushed off and I was there to meet a producer.
I also saw just tons of people... tons of friends... it was so much fun.
The only thing that I didn't like was that I lost my camera with some precious photos inside. Other than that, I guess it was meant to be because that was the least of my problems.
I just thanked God and I thank God for being alive and giving me those experiences.
I don't know what else to say, I have not been on the computer for a bit.
How was your week?
I am about to have some English tea!

The Godfather in Limosworld
I am very tired. I decided to watch the Trilogy of The Godfather all in one sitting but than I realized I would be sitting for a good 7 hours! I loved the first one... but they are all different and I have to say that Sofia's performance in the 3rd installment wasn't as bad as the press made it seem.
Other than that things have been very busy for me. My schedule is booked up until 2011. That is a scary thought. I can sit here and recite what I have to do for every month for the next two years. BUT things keep changing last minute though I don't stray too far from my journey.
Cannes or Not to Cannes?
That is the question.
For the past couple of weeks I have been driving my friends crazy about attending the festival this year. I am so busy with work that I will miss the opening film. I will also miss Michel Gondry's documentary screening on the 15th. Its about his Aunt and he said that I am in it for a little bit... MAN. But I am not here to party or socialize.
If I do go I will probably go towards the end of the festival. But it sucks because one group of friends will be there the first week and a second group will be there the second week. I also wish to be there the whole time but I think I will get bored and feel guilty that I am not working. I have too many things to wrap up and its not a good feeling when things aren't completed. I am supposed to have tons of meetings there and meet up for sure with the Filipino council. There is just too much on my plate.
Anyways, I sold the BMW to a friend of mine which was a weird coincidence. So I am not going to sell the other car.
I haven't opened up an Amazon.com account yet because I am too overwhelmed and my family is too busy with eBay (photographying, editing, writing, and etc.) to open an account for me.
BUT they are putting items on eBay still.

I think they will put items up every 3 days. It takes a while! Photographing the items, editing the photos, writing the descriptions, answering the questions of inquiring customers, waiting for payment, wrapping the item, and than shipping it off. Its alot of work and there is a little factory of a family working on it, I am blessed.
There are some new items up now. I think there are 9 new items online. Starting with shoes first than clothes and jewelry are next. Its just too much to put online.
Its crazy... I am on a working binge, than I am on a shopping binge, and I think I just need to close my eyes and rest for a moment. I just need to relax.
Oh, one of my friends just had a baby a few days ago! Congrats to Salim Kéchiouche and his new baby girl.
I am really tired and I need to get some rest.
Be happy.
Love,
TL

LIMOSWORLD ...
I am enjoying my time overseas right now.
Right now, if you run into me on the street and I have my ipod, I might be listening to this song below.
MGMT was at my party in Austin for SXSW that I threw with Matthew Giese and Andre Saraiva at the end of April. Than I saw them again at a private birthday for Pedro Winter aka Busy P. I am thinking that I want them at MY private birthday in Paris! I am going to be having a private birthday party with Larry Clark in January in Paris at Le Baron! I am starting to really like MGMT. Of course you know that Texas is a mecca for such bands and my friends there are always a step ahead of what bands are popping next... LAST YEAR and HALF ago they told me about MGMT and I started listening to them. I really love this song called "ELECTRIC FEEL" ... I am going to have to talk to these guys when I run into them next. I wonder how much they will charge us??? Maybe we can do a TRADE? I LOVE YOUR MUSIC MGMT... IF YOU ARE READING THIS.
Anyways ya'll... I am feeling really happy today for some reason. I don't know why but I am just as happy as I can be!
I hope you are happy too. If not, get out of that negative realm and move onto something happy and positive, life is too short.
Love,
Tif
Ps. What is with those nude photos of Cassie and Rihanna floating around on the internet?????? And that pic of Chris Brown with a thong on his head?

Hiatus.... with a stop over in New York.
Hey guys,
I am watching Pars vite et reviens tard and it's 4:43am my time. I won't say where I am exactly but its Wednesday. I am very tired.
New York was eventful and short. I arrived at 5pm on Saturday and went straight to a premiere of Passing Strange that Spike Lee personally invited me to. My cousin Jean Grae and Kareem Black canceled on me. Karl Cyprien couldn't make it last minute. So Lia Martinez saved the day and joined me. I hadn't seen her since 2007 but we had been corresponding over the years. I wasn't sure what to expect with the film and I don't particularly like Broadway and it was a film of a Broadway play. I wasn't sure why Spike filmed it but after it was all said and done. I was so thrilled that I was invited to the screening because it touched me. I wanted to cry during the film but I didn't want people to see me. It reminded me alot of myself! You just have to see it! The actors were amazing and Spike captured the energy of the play. The actors in the play are so talented, I really hope to see them working in the future. I loved it! Lia and I than had some New York pizza with soda and called it a night. There were several calls on my phone but I just couldn't answer them. I was exhausted. I went to hang out with Marissa and John but John was upstate doing a skate charity.
Sunday was just as eventful. I hung out with Marissa, Monihan later on. Than I went to a Senegalese restaurant on 116th St. with Oona and Paul to celebrate Michel Gondry's birthday! It was great. My friend Leyla from Hearts Revolution came to meet up with us for a minute than we all split and went home.
Monday I left really early to go to the airport. I really wanted to leave Sunday but I can't complain. At least I got to see Michel before he left, he also left on Monday at 5am because he is working on the Green Hornet film in Los Angeles for one year.
I wanted some films as soon as I landed. I had alot of packages that were delivered to me. It was fun opening all of them. I had some dvd's and shoes delivered to me. Two of the things that I love most. Than went to sleep.
My dog Snappy woke my up earlier than I wanted to wake up and I watched more films. I returned some films and took a nap. Now here I am.
I have alot to do before I leave again...
I plan on being overseas for a long time so I am having another huge sale. I usually have an annual sale but this time I am selling more than usual.
I am selling a 1998 Toyota Four Runner and a 1992 BMW for reasonable prices.
I am going to be selling alot of books and dvds on Amazon.com and I will be selling clothing, jewelry, shoes, collectibles on EBay.com
I will post more information on here once I get it together.
I have an assistant named Rain who will be posting things on the internet and I will have her update this blog with the information if I am overseas.
I hope everyone is well rested and happy.
Life is short, live it the way you want to.

TEXAS HIATUS.... NEXT UP... TAHITI !!! (Larry Clark, Tiffany Limos, Nicolas Cazalé, Marlon Brando)
While writing, reading, and devouring films Claudia sent me this photo below.
Billy Mann and his baby from the book TULSA by Larry Clark.
MY FAVORITE Larry Clark photo from the book TULSA! I love this photo so much I just feel like I can't stop looking at it. Its just apart of my soul for some reason. I feel like the girl in Chaotic Ana when she looks at Said's painting of a bird. I feel like somewhere in a past life (if there are past lives?), I was connected to this picture. Its strange but I love the feeling it gives me. When I was 19 years old I did an interview with Gus Van Sant, Bruce Weber, Lou Reed, and Andrew Wylie along with Alix Browne for V Magazine/Visionaire. This was the photo we used for the article because it was my favorite! I LOVE THIS PHOTO. Claudia said that she saw the magazine at a store on Prince St. and Thompson St. If anyone has an extra copy, send me one! I already asked Larry but hey, I wouldn't mind having as many copies of this issue as possible. Its COOL that they used this photo for the cover!

Still on hiatus in LA LA Landia...City of Angels... Los Angeles...
I arrived in LA on the 20th, MONDAY. (for personal and business reasons)
Asa and I went to Barracuda for the Cool Cats in-store and to say hello to fellow Ed Banger homies.
Here are some pics of Asa and I infront of the store.
Than on the 21st we went to hang with Pedro Winter for his Birthday! It was official P DAY! (for those of you who do not know who Pedro is, he is also known as Busy P of Ed Banger Records ya'll...)
A$A photographed me while I videotaped the whole shin-dig.
Me videotaping!
Fun, fun, fun!!! Just check out that view!
My dinner!
Pedro's P Day cupcake! YUMMY!
Gaspar taking pictures of Pedro trying on P Day shirt gifts.
Morgan chilling in the back.
Me putting on my Dallas Cowboys sweatshirt, it was getting breezy. You can see my red and white bikini underneath! Just look at those palm trees in the backyard!
Cobrasnake looking sexy! Look at his style... Forever sexy.
Pedro getting ready to hit the Pinata!
Everyone is anticipating!
I have this on video, it was hilarious!
Yummy candy!
The crowd wants more!
Pierre Andre next up!
I laughed when I saw this picture. Why is Pedro hiding behind a tree? LMAO! ha!
Look at me videotaping him blowout his P Day cake?!
