Magiker! (video and pics shot on 03/08/2009)
Raphael Neal directed me in a music video for a well known producer named Magiker. If you are a fan of Camille and Magiker, you will truly dig this! I will update you all when the video comes out.
Google Camille and Majiker. They are huge in France and New York! It was an honor to work with Raphael and Majiker. We shot one hour outside of Paris. I fell asleep as soon as we got there. The make up artist didn't speak English and she woke me up. They told me it would be an hour before I was to start getting ready and she came in 20 minutes! I screamed NO and she ran out of the room frightened for her life. Than I realized that maybe she misunderstood me and thought I was screaming at her but I was just confused because I thought they said ONE hour???!!!
Sinan Bertrand is the other person in the video besides Majiker.
Here are some pics! ha.

Me and Sinan Bertrand.... the makeup artist that I scared.

Majiker directing us! Raphael off to the side watching... on the right.

Raphael's mom! Awe. She is soooo cute!

03/04/09 to 03/11/09
Let me back track.
3/11/09 - Tuesday
I went to the Cafe Beaubourg with Claudia to meet my friend Veronique Godard, yes, the sister of Jean-Luc Godard. We talked for a bit than I met my friend Nadege at the same Cafe. We just talked about business with her. She looked gorgeous as usual. Than Emma Pick met up at Scott's place to take some photos of me.
Tonight Claudia and I hung out with Gael Morel, Salim Kechiouche, Raphael Neal, and some other French friends. We went to come place called Murano but I didn't like it because it seemed to me like a place in LA where all the fabulous actors hang out but way worse. We really did not need to hang out there but it seemed the actors wanted to hang out there. I never want to go back there. Then there was some guy who thought he could get at me. NO!

We first went to see Vincent Maraval and watched football at the Cinema that Wild Bunch made. It was gorgeous and I want to go watch football there tomorrow.
Of course Claudia and I are way... tired too and I am barely writing right now.
3/10/09 - Monday
We met with Gildas from Kitsune, than we met up with Michel Bernstein, than we met with Scott and his friend Emma. Than Claudia and I went to the Fantastic Man party. We grabbed goodie bags and than headed in a rush to a premiere that Isabelle Huppert was starring in. Than we wined and dined and called it a night.

Vincent Maraval

2/27/09 - 03/03/09 & Ed Banger Party
Claudia and I landed at Charles de Gaulle airport on March 3rd to a rough start. I left some of my items on the plane. I didn't sleep because of the rough turbulence.
Right before we even boarded the flight to Paris New York was experiencing a foot of snow. We took a cab to the airport and he got lost! This was on March 2nd.
March 1st I ended up hanging out with Leyla of Hearts Revolution, a band that is on Kitsune and my friend Marissa. We honest to G talked for hours and I felt drained. I was supposed to meet my friend Tim in Soho but I just had to bounce.
Than my cousin Jean Grae finally hit me up and I just couldn't say no. We have been trying to meet for months but she has been in the studio recording! So yes we finally meet up when the snow starts and we just have a blast until the bar kicks us out. We stood outside waiting for the cab and he doesn't show up. So we are standing outside at 6th and Berry in Brooklyn alone, dead streets, freezing! I start to think that things will get better until the people in the bar leave and we are stranded for real. No cars were on the streets and it looked hopeless. We both started shivering and I started to wonder why I left Texas and California weather for this?! Jean tells me to walk down the block because there is a bank. I am thinking, what is a bank going to do? We walk and the winds pick up and blow more snow and cold up our skirts and nostrils letting us know that things will not get better. There was no bank in site. The wind was blowing so hard from one direction that I decided to hide in a corner and scream! I started to look at Jean and I was like hey she doesn't have a hat and she is wearing a skirt and boots! Than somehow snow got all up around her boots and thighs! I do have pictures of this that I will post up on here. She than has someone pick us up. We go back to the bar and wait and some dude is there harassing us until we can't take it anymore. Than our ride comes to save the day!
Saturday February 28th - that was a hectic day because I had to return the car I was using and I took the train which I never had taken in Long Island, it was just a total mess. Than I went to hang out at Starbucks for a coffee, see Marissa in BK, than met up with Claudia at Southside. We chatted with Tim for a bit than went to Bungalow 8 to see the LRG family. Kareem Black was there and it was on.
Friday February 27th - was hectic. Julion and I arrive to NY. LATE. Just in time to go to La Esquina and Southside. Marissa has a funnier version of this story and maybe we should just keep that to ourselves. We went to the Bowery Bar also and this place Little Frankie's. Marissa tells me that all our old skater homies eat there and she was shocked when I told her that I had never been there before.

Marissa chilling in her crib.

Clive!

Some of Marissa's amazing work.

DESOLE I'M SOOO SORRY.... (THE NIGHT WE CAME FROM MICHEL GONDRY'S HOUSE!)
Fast forward to today. I am about to go to sleep but I just wanted to jot down a few things. We land and go to my friend's apartment. Scott Barnhill, he is a friend I have known since I was 15 years old. All you fashion heads would know who he is. Claudia and I get lost. Our phones don't work! So we are scrambling around to get to Scott. We catch up with him and he tells us he is in a band. To my surprise its pretty good! It's called Black Box Exposed. Check them out! Than Claudia and I just went strolling around and had a tea/coffee. We also had to buy a phone. We ate. Now I am exhausted.
Gotta wake up early in the morning!
Bonne nuit,
TL
* I will post photos and videos later, I am just too tired.

Here is the information for the Ed Banger party on Friday.
Vendredi 6 Mars 2009 au Bataclan - Minuit
Free your funk : Stones Throw meets Ed Banger
Lives :
James Pants (Stones Throw), Mayer Hawtorne (Stones Throw), DSL (Ed Banger)
DJs :
Peanut Butter Wolf & Dam-Funk(Stones Throw), Busy P & DJ Mehdi (Ed Banger)

Un petit déroulé de la soirée…
Mayer Hawtorne (Stones Throw) : Live / 0h30-1h
James Pants (Stones Throw) : Live with the Royal Zodiac Band / 1h-1h30
Son premier album s’appelle « Welcome » : il est sorti sur Stones Throw l’an passé. Son premier concert à Paris il y a quelques mois avait confirmé le bien que l’on pensait de James Pantalon. « We’re Through » ou « You’re the one » sont des tubes ! Si vous ne connaissez pas, il est encore temps. La vidéo de « We’re Through », ici :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvErrmMZNVY
DSL (Ed Banger) : Live / 1h30-2h
Ecoutez “Find me in the world” ou “Invaders” là : http://www.myspace.com/dslbros
DJs sets : 2h-6h
Dam-Funk, DJ Mehdi, Busy P, Peanut Butter Wolf (+vidéo)

Best Justice Video EVER!, What'chu know bout STEPHEN SPROUSE!, & Blast from the Past: British Vogue 2002
JUSTICE
This is dedicated to all my guy friends who are official haters! LMAO! This is the best video ever! ha ha ha! Than look at Pedro jumping around in the audience!?!?! He is such a big KID! HA! Xavier is really humble. Gaspar......
I LOVE IT!
It makes me feel like its really a Michael Jackson song or a song that all these people that are being impersonated, that they would really be into it if they heard the song.
This video clip is just pure 100 percent FUN! Makes me feel like a little kid with my Michael Jackson glove! 1,2,3,4 FIGHT! Get ready to IGNITE!
You can check this link out:
http://www.scion.com/broadband/the-skinny/slicks-picks/miami-justice.html
Than go to Rick's Slick Picks, Click on Justice in Miami.
Okay, Rick (from the skateboard world, he's New York hip hop head also) is someone I have known for years and the person who filmed it is a friend of mine named Ryan Monihan who finds this clip very funny. At first I did but then I was like, hey, those guys are really nice and that was kinda mean of you to tell Rick to ask those guys questions like that. Rick has no idea who Justice is and they don't know who he is and Ryan wanted to use them against each other. I guess its funny. See for yourself. If I didn't know the Justice guys I think I would think its pretty funny but, just for yourself.
STEPHEN SPROUSE
Wow, Stephen was Andy Warhol's friend and first clothing designer collaborator. He did a line for Louis Vuitton years ago and now they just did a tribute to him this year. Seems like everyone is CRAZY for him now. Susan Kirschbaum wrote an article in 2003 about how Larry Clark and I were going to collaborate with Stephen on some scarves since Larry owns all of Warhol's original scarves. When most older gentlemen blow their noses on regular handkerchiefs, Clark used those Warhol scarves! I swear, it was a truly surreal thing to witness at film festivals! Larry pulling out a neon camouflaged scarf. But a few years later Benjamin Liu, another one of Warhol's confidants and mutual friend of Sprouse and I, told me he passed away when I went back to visit New York a few years ago. It was a shock to me. I didn't know he was ill. He seemed fine the last time I talked to him.
He was a cool dude.
R.I.P.
I was surfing the internet and look at what I found? HA!

Patrick McMullan, New York's premiere paparazzi, well I wouldn't call him that because he is more than that, he was the only photographer that Warhol had around at the time and McMullan has had various books and saying that he is well respected within the community is a true understatement. I am going to order some of these prints from him as soon as I can. I don't know if you can see but there I am with Stephen and I was so delighted when I found this! I am wearing a Giorgio Sant Angelo blazer with Luella Bartley Vans & Chanel bag. Oh 2003 seems like yesterday! (Why am I looking so grim in the photos? Must have been cold outside?! ha!)
BRITISH VOGUE
Once in a while I put a blast from the past on here. Here is the interview and photo from 2002. It was about "IT" girls! I think Bay Garnett, Amanda Harlech, and a few other great names were involved.

2. I live in 'Money Make'n Manhattan', Tribeca to be exact.
3. Actress, Creative Consultant, Photographer, and Screenwriter.
4. Career Highlighs
Films that I have starred in are Ken Park and Teenage Caveman. Ken Park is going to the Venice Film Festival, Telluride, Toronto, Vancouver, and Deauville film Festivals 2002. So that should be fun! Being on the cover of the FACE. Being on the cover of TRACE with a 10 page story written on me. Current Centerfold for Cheapdate Magazine. I have been featured in Self-Service, Paper, Face, I-D, V Magazine and Interview Magazine.
5. Future projects - There are film offers but nothing solid at the moment. Writing a book at the moment, that won't be finished until 2004. Working with Larry Clark, Nick Knight, Craig McDean, Mario Sorrenti, and Showtime Cable on various projects. Oh yeah, I can't wait until I start production for the scripts that I have written. The process is long and stressful but it will be worth the while.
6. What is your style - I admire Janis Joplin, Anita Pallenberg, and Lou Lou de la Falaise's styles but who doesn't! I am not into any random/trendy look. I just have my look. My own style. I love the store Resurrection in NYC/LA. I mainly own vintage and thrift pieces. I also own many rare Giorgio Sant Angelo pieces and an Yves Saint Laurent suit. Many, many vintage Chanel, Giorgio Sant Angelo, & YSL scarves.
A best buy would be to find a bra that fit well, I can never find one that does!
7. What is your artistic ethos - what are you trying to put out there? Something realistic?
Positivity. Self-security. Reassurance. Who cares what people think or say, do what YOU want to do. If they criticize you, then, so WHAT!
This is dedicated to all my guy friends who are official haters! LMAO! This is the best video ever! ha ha ha! Than look at Pedro jumping around in the audience!?!?! He is such a big KID! HA! Xavier is really humble. Gaspar......

Oscar NIGHT 2009
As Brian Phillips would say, "Rodarte killed it!"

Brian and I used to work at Visionaire and the inception of V Magazine in the late 90's. Brian has always had impeccable style and has always been well groomed. I think he came out of his mother's womb that way?! Well now he does the PR for Rodarte. (please tell me you know who they are and if you don't do your homework, okay.) The company is framenoir.com. And he does a great job of promoting them!
Claudia Wu, the owner of Me Magazine, another Visionaire alum, and my homegirl put Rodarte on the cover of one of her issues.

We had a party at the Sub Mercer to celebrate the issue Fashion week 2008. (winter) To say the least, usual suspects were there. Anyone and everyone who is in the inner circle of fashion.
YEAH, I love that Reese and Natalie wore Rodarte. I dislike how all those actresses in Hollywood just go for the safe route. I don't get alot of their choices but I guess they pay their stylists alot of money to handle their attire since they are too busy doing other things. (??acting??) (HA!!!!!!!!!) I really hate that manufactured look alot of those actresses have! They pose on the red carpet with the same face as the girl before and they all stand the same. Jesus. Then there are those who just make weird faces all of the time. Then there are the actresses that are trying to look sexy all of the time. Things have changed since I was a teenager. I used to turn on the tv and watch fashion shows and Style with Elsa Klensch and etc. But now the red carpet is the NEW catwalk! Turn on the tv now and its saturated with tabloid tv, reality tv, and yes... drum roll... red carpet madness from every channel on tv. (Well hip hop took a backseat when I was in my teens and now its at the forefront and I love that. I feel music is a little bit more even now.)
Damn that Slumdog! DAMNIT! Best Screenplay went to Simon Beaufoy.
I really liked last year's Cinderella story of Diablo Cody, I was on the edge of my seat for that one. This year it was Slumdog, SLAMDUNK! It just couldn't be Slumdog one right after the other! SLAMDUNK!!!! (Congrats to Danny Boyle, he is a great person and a great director, he deserved it!)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhh last but not least guys and you all knew this was coming.
MICKEY ROURKE.
Larry Clark texted me that if Mickey wins to light a candle.
I prayed!
I waited all night last night for the end of the show and I got all teary eyed as Robert Deniro wondered how Sean Penn got all those straight roles all these years. HA! I was really getting teary eyed because the night was finally coming to a close and I was just so proud of Mickey that I felt very emotional. I always believed in him and I always thought he was just so great. Not just as a friend but as an artist. This business can be tough and that is an understatement. And if you are in this business you know what kind of conniving sharks we deal with. If someone like Mickey Rourke can get chewed up and spat out, you better believe it can happen to anyone! People had berated me for even wanting to work with the guy! But I held steadfast to my beliefs! Even when Quentin Tarantino sent me the Death Proof script to read, which was written for Mickey Rourke initially and there was some falling out, even when he had beef with my dearest colleagues I was always in his corner.
When Michael Douglas said Sean Penn's name I clenched my chest and I know that sounds dramatic but I just felt like Sean deserved it and MILK is Gus's movie and he is family so of course Sean should win it... and MILK is the bomb. And Gus never fails to amaze me with his tenacity making films year after year...
BUT
MICKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wanted Mickey to win so bad so it would just be a huge FUCK YOU to all the haters that hated on him! AND because he worked so hard to come back and he didn't have to. He could have just went off and died but he didn't. All those people on tv who were making fun of him and etc., Do you know what its like to be an addict or to live with one? Mickey made it. Mickey got clean, he went through it man, and now he is back? How insane is that? And to be at the fucking Oscars of all places!!!!!! Alot of people felt like Mickey was walking the walk for them. That's why I was emotional and why other people were too. Hey, people were telling me at the premiere of The Wrestler in NYC in December that he might not be nominated for any awards.
Boy, were they wrong.

And I loved the fact that Mickey loved his little dog and wore a photo of his dog around his neck! HA! My sister said that she thinks that is something that I would do and it probably is. That's one thing Mickey and I have in common is our love for our small dogs. I know how he feels. That poor guy had nothing but his little dog for a long time. Later came the priest and the therapist I suppose.
I felt he also deserved to win the Oscar this year.
Just look at his body of work!
MAN.
Well, I am still going to light a candle. Why? For gratitude. I am grateful to know someone like Mickey because his life has taught me alot. He didn't give up. Even after all of his mistakes. He just didn't give up. He was relentless and ruthless. Most of all he had faith. He had faith in the script. He had faith in the director Darren Aronofsky.
Despite what other people thought of him.
He had faith in himself.

Andre 3000 + Andre Saraiva = Andre $$$$
Belvedere IX Launch Party
NEW YORK - FEBRUARY 12: Artist Andre and musician Andre 3000 attend the Belvedere IX Launch Party at The Bowery Hotel on February 12, 2009 in New York City. (Photo by Michael Buckner/Getty Images for Moet Hennessy USA)

Don't these two Andre's just make you want to be apart of their club? HA! (as 3000 would say) These Andre's from two Alien planets couldn't be more polar opposite and more similar at the same time!!! God I love my life.
Andre Saraiva the king of nightlife from France to Tokyo. I had my 25th birthday at his club Le Baron in Paris. That was the party that everyone from Daft Punk, Chloe Sevigny, Agnes B., Gaspar Noe, Michel Gondry, Gael Garcia Bernal to Elton John attended. Google him if you don't know who he is.
Both have been tested in their fields and have come out on top. Andre Saraiva, a little more obscure but well respected within my circle of friends, top artists, top musicians, luxury brands, and top fashion magazines around the world. He has slowly but surely conquered nightlife in ways that only others can dream of. He knows his history with art, he isn't just one person who sees something and judges on the superficial, he knows the history behind every little movement he makes. I appreciate a man, an artist like that.
Andre 3000 = God is always smiling down on that man, I swear. He will always be successful. Andre Benjamin GQ article.
J'adore Andre Saraiva!
J'taime Andre Benjamin!
Look out for a collaboration with Tiffany Limos, Larry Clark, and Andre Saraiva in the near future.
ANDRE SARAIVA WILL BE AT CLUB SUITE IN DALLAS THE WEEK OF SXSW. HE WILL BE DOING AN INSTALLATION. UFFIE WILL ALSO BE PERFORMING. MORE DETAILS ON THIS LATER WHEN I GET INFORMATION FROM THE OWNER AND DALLAS AMBASSADOR, MATTHEW GIESE.

My Bologna Has a First Name, It's PTSD
A few people have asked me if I am going to the You-Know-Whats. (N00bs: that's how we refer to a certain awards show around here. Otherwise I get a tic. That whole brouhaha was amazing, but it also scared the crap out of Your Fragile Narrator.)
I won't be at the actual show-- they don't do the "returning winner" schtick with writers-- so no legendary presenter swag bag for DC. Quel horreur! I needed a mink oven mitt.
I might go to the big party on Sunday, though. You know I'm gonna crash a few group photos like "LOOK, KATE WINSLET AND I ARE FRIENDS! I'M RELEVANT! LOOK AT ME!" Or I'm in the background doing high kicks like Kathie Lee on a Carnival cruise. I actually have a hilarious picture of me and Shirley MacLaine where you can tell I just sort of mashed myself into the frame.
Last year, my friends and I discovered that if you're physically clutching an Osc_r, you (and all your dirtbag pals) can get into any party that night. So we were like, "Next year, let's bring it out again and see if it works." How tragically hilarious would that be? Ma'am, may I check the year on that statuette? 2008? I'm sorry this is expired. Suck a few dicks and come back next year.
(KID-DING)
I'm definitely watching the show, though. As an Academy member*, I'm not sure I'm allowed to say who I'm rooting for, but I certainly have my darlings. Too bad Katy Perry's not performing on this telecast. I can just see them lowering her onto the stage in a giant papier mache Cecil B. DeMille head.
*This phrase-- casually dropped with annoying frequency-- has become my personal version of "As a retired model..."
..........................................................................
Well Hot DAMN... and NOW DO WHAT???? AS THEY WOULD SAY IN TEXAS!!!!!!!!
I am allowed to say who I am rooting for and its Mickey Rourke and Kate Winslet!
AND Slumdog Millionaire!
AND because I love Gus Van Sant, not just because he is family to me but because I just love him and his films, I am also rooting for MILK!
Love,
Tiffany Limos

YACINE
There are three reasons why I have a new charity. Yacine is one of the major influences of my new charity and Stephen King is the second one.
Below is a photo of Yacine in Algeria (2008). Photo by his grandmother.

I will talk about the third reason in another blog when I have more time and explain what the whole charity is all about and who will be involved.
(And the name of the charity will be unveiled when things are finalized!)
EXCITING!

One More Time...
I forgot to say some things in my last blog.
The greatest thing I did when I turned 29 was reflect on my whole life.
The mistakes, failures, good, bad, accomplishments, deaths, births, and how grateful I should be to still be alive to grow from it all.
I am so blessed.
Many people don't get the chance to see their 29th birthday. I am very grateful.
I have forgiven myself for the mistakes I have made and I pray that people will forgive me for the mistakes that I have made as well.
All you can do in life is accept what is happening right now and move on. Change and grow but most of all LEARN.
I remember moving to LA when I was 23 years old but I actually started living in Los Angeles when I was 21 in the year 2001. So many things have happened to me since then and all I did was sit and think about my life on my birthday. I let the film of my life play out in my mind. The good, the sad, the ugly, the horrific, the happy times, the sweet times, and etc.
Its unbelievable that I am still in one piece.
There were some times in my life that I wished never happened! But now I am a better person because of it. There were a few deaths that changed me forever and a few births that did the same thing. There were a few people that I didn't like that taught me the most important lessons that a friend could never teach me. I thought about someone that taught me alot of life lessons and it touched me.
Seeing things in hindsight was overwhelming.
Being in LA and going to the old haunts really put things in perspective.
I remember what it was like living there and things haven't changed.
Well the only thing that has changed is this new technology boom with myspace, youtube, facebook, and etc. These internet stars Tila Tequila, Cassie, Lily Allen, Cory Kennedy, Soulja Boy, and the fact that everyone can make a movie, be a critic, say anything they want to say... as Elliot Mintz once told me, "Darling, its the black hole of media. If you censor it, it might as well be television." Now you have to know who this Elliot Mintz is? He is a genius! Still with those words, he is still sharp!
I thought to myself, I wondered if my life would have been any different if I were 21 years old right now? What in the world would have happened to me? I don't know if I would have been able to cope with the book of the internet. I thought it was out of control back then but its worse now. I look at the Wikipedias of other peoples' and they list all their articles and interviews. None of mine are listed. Alot of my interviews and television spots aren't listed. I guess it was before the era of Technology. I know girls my age that just started to become popular in 2006 who seem to have more press coverage than myself but I have tons of magazine covers from Asia and Europe but none are listed. So its pretty interesting. Its almost like if you don't list your interviews and your magazine covers/press it doesn't count! And its like this race to see who can market themselves better on the internet? It's definitely new but not really new. Its a whole new game just from a few years ago! When I was 23 I don't remember this kind of thing happening? When I was 23, I lived in LA and I had a Publicist. I did all kinds of photoshoots for all kinds of magazines i-D, British Vogue, V Magazine, and I went to all of the shows front row. That was never shown on the internet. I remember doing a photoshoot with Paris Hilton when I was 22 years old before she was famous and that was never shown. Ha! And I remember being with her in LA for fashion week and it just being like whatever. Now-a-days, its serious. People just going for it, going out to get scene, calling Paparazzi like the world is going to end and pretending like they didn't call them and calling gossip columns giving tips when its really them calling in! MY MY MY.
Also, I think you have to be pretty avid to be keep up and sometimes I don't care. But DAMN, Diablo Cody was discovered on the internet! AND I LOVE HER! Perez Hilton and Necole Bitchie have made names for themselves and it seems like you don't have to do anything these days to be famous and you don't have to have a degree to be an internet critic.
I try to keep up but I am still honing my writing craft and I just gather with other writers sometimes. We are just a bunch of boring nerds. We don't do anything but talk about writing and talk about books. I laughed to myself and I thought how boring I've become. I am so glad that I am not 21, 22, 23 anymore because I've had too many experiences to last me 50 lifetimes!
I am ready to settle in and just be domesticated!
Bring it on!

The month of February... for me... (& memories!)
Has ushered in happiness disguised in sad tears.
My birthday was a true surprise this year. What happened to me, I never would have expected in a million years. HA! (As Andre 3000 would say.) I wasn't happy I will tell you that much but that situation did open a new door. Which was going to happen to me whether I wanted it to or not! Isn't that how life is sometimes?! Yeah.
I celebrated my 23rd birthday by moving to Los Angeles from New York, getting an apartment in Santa Monica and having Larry Clark shoot me for the cover of Rebel Magazine. A prestigious out of print magazine from France.
My 24th birthday was celebrated in Los Angeles. I remember being at the Standard Downtown... and than being in New York having dinner with Michel Gondry and Paul Gondry.
For my 25th birthday I was in Paris working with Michel on The Science of Sleep and we partied at Le Baron. Drinks on Agnes B. and everyone was there! Chloe Sevigny, Daft Punk, Elodie Bouchez, Pedro Winter, Gael Garcia Bernal, Gaspar Noe, my friend Gael Foucher, Michel Bernstein, Christophe Lemaire from Lacoste and Olivier Assayas met me the next day to take me to dinner for my birthday. Larry Clark and Spike Lee called to wish me well. It was a merry ole TIME! I rented The Dreamers by Bertolucci since Michel was letting me pick out something to rent since it was my birthday and he freaked out when I put the dvd in.... "Is this the kind of stuff you watch?!" He says that during the clip where Michael Pitt has Eva Green's photo on his penis! ha ha ha!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, I know Michael Pitt and I was there for his first audition for Larry Clark and when he got cast for the movie Bully so I was soooo not into that part but I still crack up thinking of Michel's reaction! ha ha ha.
My 26th birthday was great! I owe that to Sarajane Wilde, Dave Morrison, and Michel Gondry... and Sean Lennon.
I don't know who paid for the drinks and dinner at the Chateau Marmont but it was nice!!!!!!!!
I saw Andre 3000 for a coffee before-hand, he was off to get a massage. Fonzworth Bentley came with his two friends. I met this guy who was the lead singer to Autolux and I forget his name but he came. I met him at Meg from the White Stripes bday party. He was their opening act. Liv Tyler came with Victoria Clay and Tatiana Von Furstenberg and her husband. My assistant Nick Kerkhoff was there. Sean played on the piano and sang Benny and Jets and Money Mark played along. Scarlett Johansson was there in pajamas with Josh Hartnett... and I saw a girl I met from Sophia Rossi named Katherine there. Sam Spiegel was there and Steve Aoki came by to say hello. We were supposed to go to Cinespace afterwards but we all decided to go to Teddy's instead. I don't remember what happened after that though. I also remember laughing at Sean and telling him he was the funniest guy I know and he was like.. what about Fonzworth!? He has a lime green sweater on?!!!! ha ha ha ha
It was sort of surreal because I have one friend that is from Texas that is still alive that I talk to and she wasn't there. And I only have one neighborhood friend who is still alive that I talk to. Believe it or not, the rest are dead or in jail. Its sad. Its cool to have all these people at my birthday but its kind of weird since I did not grow up with them. But I guess I can't be complaining about my life.
When I turned 27... back track here... alright... when I was a kid my favorite director from the Philippines was Cirio H. Santiago, than it would be a tie between Eddie Romero and Lino Brocka. I realized that Cirio H. Santiago was one of Quentin Tarantino's favorite directors too! Quentin and I happen to be bosom buddies... and I heard from someone in New York that Cirio was in Los Angeles. I tracked him down like a bandit! I called Quentin squealing like a pig..... on his answering machine and what does he do? Calls me back squealing!!!!!!!!!!!! We both couldn't believe that THE Cirio H. Santiago was in LA! I arranged a meeting with him on MY birthday! Cirio wanted to meet at Nate-n-Al's! He told me it was an old Hollywood meeting place. I was the first to arrive and I was shaking all the way there. Ahhh lord... I was the only young person in the room... and it was so easy to spot him! And then a few moments later Quentin comes in with (I forget) something for Cirio to sign. Awe... I will never forget that birthday. Quentin was about to do press for his movie Death Proof and it was great that we got to meet our idol Cirio H. Santiago! Oh yeah, QT and TL's fav. Santiago flicks are The Muthers, Death Force, and Ebony, Ivory, and Jade!
When I turned 28, I was with my bestfriend Claudia Wu at the Coffee Shop in NY. I was a hostess there when I was a teenager, when I stopped modeling. The next day we met up with Andre 3000 at The Grammercy Hotel in some private area to celebrate. Than later we were joined by Damon Dash, Irina, Margarita Missoni, and Erin Fethersen... (not sure if these names are spelled right... I will check later.) That was fun because Andre never ever goes out and to see him was like seeing a fictional character come to life!
29.
The great age.
The last year I will be in my twenties!
I am going to live everyday like its my last.
I am going to just go for it. (So should you!)
I lost my wallet and you can't rent a car or stay at a nice hotel without a credit card! I had loads of cash on me but that didn't matter one bit. I didn't worry about it though but that sort of stressed me out. Mitchell Gutman and I had food and drinks at this Thai restaurant called Toi. I always wanted to go there because Quentin told me that he used to write in there for hours and I wanted to see what this place was all about. It lived up to its promise and I saw that the Pulp Fiction poster was strategically positioned next to a Godard poster of Anna Karina... I know why. Do you? I will post the photo I took of it on this blog later. Than I went to Hyde to meet up with Yacine. Than to the Chateau Marmont for the sake of it and old memories... and Yacine, Mitchell, Yorgan, and I had a really nice time. Yacine and Yorgan left. Mitchell and I went to some bar in Silverlake and it smelled like vomit! I don't know the name of the place. HA!
I put medicine on my face and it burned my skin! There were two burn marks on my face. And scar marks from when I was sick! That was not good. It should have been the Omen for the night. I got dressed in my vintage white embroidered mini dress and wore black wedges. I ate Thai food, went to Happy Endings (which I thought was like the New York version but its not, its more like a frat bar.), and than called it a night.
My life changed that night though for many reasons.
My last year of my twenties, nothing is going to get me down.
I love it!
I love life.
Yippie!
So that is what happened. I know I didn't write about my birthday but I have been traveling all over the world in a short span of time and I haven't been able to blog. Just dealing with alot of things too. Upset with alot of things too! But in the end, Happy.
So now. After the Grammys! I had to leave town. In LA they did have the Cirio H. Santiago Tribute at the New Beverly Cinema on the 10th! Man I was kicking myself for not attending that but Brian from the theater just emailed me and told me that they might have another one in a few months. Quentin and I will be attending that one for certain!
So what did you do for Valentine's Day?
I felt sleepy!
I had a great Valentines.
OH yeah! Me Magazine's newest issue is out now!
I will blog about that later.
Now I am tired of writing here.
Gotta go.
PEACE!
