Headed back to my ole stomping grounds. New York will always be a home to me.
All my NY peeps, hollar!
This video of Jennifer Lopez reminds me of the year of 2000. How much I was a fan of hers and enjoying my own life at the time. Life is still wonderful and grand.
Enjoy!

Tattoo your name across my heart...
Its amazing when you find love and love goes in this life.
The feeling is like no other.
I love this medley for several reasons. There is an inside joke from back in the day in earlier part of this decade... a joke about me getting married and it has something to do with this clip below. A joke about Beyonce singing at my wedding... and a joke about my love for Anita Baker... I'll tell the joke one day. Not now.
I love Beyonce. (Go Bey Bey!)

The Philippines LOVES USHER RAYMOND!
I also love Usher because he was born in Dallas! HA!!!!!!!!
This was the first video I ever saw of Usher's... I was Roller Skating with Harold Hunter at Pier 59, a Party for Paper Magazine. All the SKATEBOARDERS were there. Spencer Fujimoto and Alex Calderon! HA! That night was hilarious. RIP HAROLD!
I loved Usher in this video.
I drove Fonzworth to this videoset. He made me go back and get his violin! HA! Also I danced to this song in NY when Kate Moss had a private party and that's when someone stole my purse.
THIS SONG IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG. USHER WILL BE SINGING THIS TO ME ONE DAY. (MAYBE, IT WOULD BE COOL IF HE COULD SING IT FOR MY BDAY OR CHANGE THE WORDS FOR MY WEDDING - HA!!!!)

Her name is Brook Lynne. Well, that's what she goes by and she's a fellow writer. She lives in Atlanta and is from the Bay. I also know alot of hotspots in Atlanta! HA!
I haven't been writing on the blog much because I've been traveling and writing. I was in Los Angeles and Austin. I will blog more about what I thought about the Oscars and Austin in later blogs.

I'm Still Standing...
In 2007 Elton John invited me and a few others to his 60th Bday party. It was held in NY at a chapel and when I arrived he stood at the front shaking everyone's hand! It was surreal when I walked in because I think I was the least famous person in the room. I could be right. HA! You can just imagine who was there.
He's a great person. He is Rock Royalty. He also lives in Atlanta believe it or not. (That information courtesy of my friend Elvis Mitchell, ha!)
I came across this song from his Bday bash concert at Madison Square Garden.
WOW.

Not for everyone.
Caution: This is not for everyone. I wasn't the best person in life in my early 20's. My friend Christine sent this to me today and I felt I should share this with you all. It's not too late to change your ways. It's not too late to be aware.
Seeking God with All Your Heart
Nothing worth having in life comes easily. The best relationships, the most rewarding work, the highest prizes, championships, salaries and trophies all come through hard work and effort. It is a law of life that the best things in life are the most difficult to attain. If it was easy, it would be cheap; if anybody can have it, then it really is without value.
Understanding the importance of effort, we should also understand that there are many things in life available to anyone willing to put the effort forth to achieve or obtain it. You can make a high salary, achieve recognition and be rewarded if you put forth the effort in the field best suited to your natural abilities. Beyond that, there are many areas of life in which ANYONE can succeed if they are willing to work at it. For example, you can have good relationships with people if you are both willing to work at it. A really great relationship does not come without effort. You must make the effort to talk, to listen, to ask, to inquire, to care, to help, to share, to encourage. However, you can make this happen with effort.
Yet, somehow, we often don’t believe that these same principles apply to having a strong relationship with God. On the one hand, we see it as something too difficult to attain. In our hearts we say, “I can’t see Him and it is not worth all the effort to pursue One that I cannot even see with my eyes or touch with my hands.” So we don’t put forth the effort. On the other hand, we see our relationship with God as one which requires no work on our part. We see it as something so easily achieved because God does all the work to make it happen. Now certainly, God did all the work to make it possible. That is undeniable. But what about our part in having a close relationship with God? Do we make the effort to seek Him, to know Him?
Praying may be free, but we must do it. Reading, studying and meditating on His word may be free, but it takes costly effort to do it. We will not know God any more than we know someone living on the other side of the earth unless we make the effort to know Him, to seek Him out, to be His friend.
And this takes maybe the greatest effort of all… the effort driven by faith in what is unseen. God is not seen by our eyes, He is not heard with our ears. Our sight and hearing of Him come spiritually. Our eyes tell us that no one is there when faith tells us that God is there and listening to us. Our eyes tell us that he doesn’t care while faith tells us that He cares very much.
It takes a lot of work to seek God. Don’t think that it doesn’t. However, with the seeking comes the promise that you can be as close to God as you want to be. The Bible says it like this: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you… Seek me and you shall find Me when you seek after Me with all your heart.” So the question is: how close do you want to be to God?

Tiffany Limos has got to have IT...
Anything worth having is worth the hardwork and patience.
Sometimes it takes years of hardwork to get to the place where you want to be.
That goes for career and I recently discovered... relationships.
But there is alot of sacrifice involved.
If you are willing to sacrifice and workhard, you will be able to get there.
Spike Lee was always one who told me to work hard.
"Just keep plugging"
"Keep the tenacity!"
In my younger years, I never really believed in God.
But now, I have faith.
Faith in the Universe, in the Lord.
This isn't for everyone, but I've committed myself to the Lord.
That's what has seemed to work for me.
I was a very mean and unbalanced person previously. Many can attest to that.
I've been fortunate to still be living and I've taken that opportunity to change my ways for the better.
Its difficult for me to do the right thing.
I hope that you all out there find a way to stay positive and to always believe that things happen for a reason... and that everything will divinely work itself out.

ZOE SALDANA
When I was in Cannes for the Film Festival, I was staying at the Hotel Martinez. I was running inside to get dressed to go to the Pedro Almodovar Premiere of Broken Embraces when I was stopped by an old friend of mine from New York smack'dab in the busy lobby. If you haven't stayed at the Hotel Martinez during the (62nd) Cannes Film Festival, you wouldn't know how it works... there are limos and taxis in full rotation 24-7 and barricades where hundreds of people and fans have to stand behind just to see their favorite stars. For guests, there are two check points to get into the hotel. Anyways, I am running into the hotel and guess who I literally run into????
Zoe Saldana !!!
My friend Kareem Black is a huge Star Trek fan, so of course, I congratulated Zoe on her role in that... but when I see old friends, I don't think about that kind of stuff... I was just so happy to see another fellow American in the same hotel as me! Penelope Cruz, Rza, Dita Von Teese, and just about everyone was staying at my hotel... but she looked stunning and she said she was going to Hotel De Cap for amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS benefit.
I wanted to post these photos of Zoe because I just saw AVATAR yesterday for the first time!!!!!! I loved it so much, I just loved it. I'm pretty jaded when it comes to films and I have to say that Zoe starring in it was the icing on the cake (I hate that saying) or shall I say the peppered-gravy on the Southern Texan Style mashed potatoes! I love Zoe! She has always been a good person and we had a talk years ago about having talent in Hollywood. I always knew Zoe was talented and its about damn time that Hollywood took notice... the whole world! I wasn't sure when she would get her chance since chances are so damn slim in Hollywood (especially for ethnic actresses) and it seems the untalented ones but more star-let types get the roles.... I feel vengeance is mine when I see someone like Zoe Saldana get her shine. She is a truly good person, unlike many actresses in Hollywood. And she is truly talented, unlike many actresses in Hollywood.
Sending out good vibes and prayers to Zoe and her family!
(& Chloe Sevigny! Read post below! HA!)

Happy New Year! 2010 !!!
Hello everyone, sorry I haven't been able to write. I have been very busy lately.
What's happened since the New Year? Hmmm... I've been writing and home-bound.
A friend of mine moved back to Dallas and I saw him recently.
Funny how time flies. I was looking at the tv channel and I hardly watch tv these days and the Grammy's are coming up! WOW! A year has passed!
My birthday is coming up and its already off to a great start. I got the greatest gift from a friend of mine and it was the bestest gift on the planet! I love it so much. The last week though, I got some sort of sinus irritation... and then I went to Atlanta and partied one night and it got worse. I did see Goodie Mobb one night before I left to Atlanta and it was fun but I didn't know any of the songs except when the played UGK stuff. But they were cool and it was nice to see Ceelo and the gang thanks to my homie Lou Lipson. But Atlanta was great and it was rainy, just the perfect weather for me. I stayed at my favorite hotel and had a blast. I do love it there.
I hope that everyone is having a great time.
